Pamela and Darren at Kinkell Byre
When Pamela's Dad heard that she was to marry in a barn, he was a little surprised. But Kinkell Byre is different. It is a very capacious venue, and decorated and kitted out with lighting, the interior has real sparkle and is a great venue-with-a-difference. What is more, the location, in fields overlooking the sea, is a beautiful one. And with meticulous planning and preparation by Pamela and her parents, with a whole multitude of beautiful details, and help from Wendy MacArthur of Utopia Scotland on the day, the venue was beautifully decorated and all went perfectly smoothly. We were keen to get out into that countryside to take some portraits, and with the drizzle hovering between being merely damp and outright rain, it seemed touch and go at one point, but Pamela and Darren were game to venture out and risk the odd drop of water on the dress, and it would have been a shame not to take advantage of the beautiful vintage cars, so we took dashed out with an umbrella and a motor car during a lull. It was all very Jack Vettriano - appropriately enough since Vettriano is of course himself a Fife lad!
