Rebecca and Mark at Kirknewton House Stables
"Ahhhh, yes, the DVD pictures are amazing, we love them! So many people have commented how great the photos are and on the blog... you are both highly recommended from us!" ""Mark and i felt so much at ease on the day with all the pictures…"
"Thank you again, the more we have looked at the photographs the more they really do capture the day for us and are really special."
- Rebecca
Rebecca and Mark chose two venues for their celebration - first a church ceremony in Morningside, followed by a reception outside Edinburgh, at the idyllic rural location of Kirknewton House Stables, where the gardens were in full flower and chickens were roaming the gardens - a perfet contrast to the city centre. They timed the weather right - the clouds that were hanging around in the morning parted, revealing glorious sunshine for the festivities. Having the reception in the gardens meant that Rebecca and Mark's dog, Evie (sp?!) could come along as an honoured guest.
Some officiants are more cooperative than others when it comes to photography in church, but the Reverend at Morningside United Church could not have been friendlier. What is more, he gave an especially moving sermon. We like to be as discreet as possible suring the service to avoid distracting the congregation from the solemnity of the moment - since there are two of us, this means we don't have to move around to have different points of view, and we keep the number of shutter clicks to a minimum - and of course, we don't use flash in church. But in any event, we couldn't have had a more helpful reception from the Minister.
Here are a few pictures capturing the day:-
